Farmers Market Rules and Regulations Summer 2025
The Berkshire Botanical Garden Farmers Market will take place every Monday from June 30 through Sept. 1, from 3 to 6 p.m. The market will be held rain or shine outside of Berkshire Botanical Garden’s Education Center. In the event of serious weather we may close the market by noon, you will be notified through email as soon as possible.

Closing Day — Monday, Sept. 1, 2025

Price: daily options: $40; full season for 11 weeks: $330.
Note: Our Farmers Market will be running during our Summer music series, Music Mondays. This allows the two events to support each other. Please fill out the Vendor Application to reserve a vending place for our 2025 Market!

Vending Spaces
Each vendor will be assigned a space by the market manager based on their market form request. We will work to assign vendors to spaces based on whole or half season requests. We reserve the right to move vendors if necessary due to absences.
Set-up and Tear Down
1. Vendors may start arriving for set up at 1:30 p.m., and be in place ready to sell by 2:45 p.m. No vehicles will be allowed to enter, move or leave the market space until 6pm when the market closes. Once spaces are set up please park your vehicle in our main parking lot until the ending of the market.
2. Each vendor must bring their own tables and tents that are securely weighted down at the time of set up. Vendors are encouraged to bring tents to shield products from the sun or rain.
3. No vendor will be refunded if they miss the market or if, at the market manager's discretion, is not allowed to participate.
4. All produce and food products must be raised off the ground to a height of at least six inches.
5. Vendors must remain at the Market until the Market closes and are responsible for removing all their own trash, set up, and unsold items.
Vendor Attendence
If you are unable to attend a market, you must contact the market manager at your earlier convince. Chronic absences could result in a loss of selling space or termination of vending contract with Berkshire Botanical Garden Farmers Market.
Market Sales
1. All items sold must have been approved through your Vendor Application and should be 100 percent grown and/or produced by the vendor.
2. Each vendor must follow health regulations and restrictions by Board of Health. Processed/prepared foods must be prepared from scratch in a board of health certified kitchen if required. All products must be produced and labeled in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. A copy of your Board of Health Certificate must accompany your application.
3. The sale of goods is prohibited before and discouraged after market operation hours.
4. Please make sure that all signage regarding SNAP/HIP/WIC and senior coupons are displayed and easy to read.
5. All foods requiring refrigeration must be kept cool and at the appropriate temperatures. All baked goods must be handled safely and with appropriate material (gloves, tissue paper, etc.)
6. Vendors are prohibited from bring pets to the farmers market as Berkshire Botanical Garden has a strict no dogs policy to protect the beauty of our grounds.
7. Participating vendors are prohibited from engaging in any behavior not appropriate for a public setting including, but not limited to, use of obscene or abusive language, physical violence, and being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while at the market.
8. Vendors must provide there own scales, and all scales used at the market may be randomly tested durning the market season. Scales should be sealed off by an official state or city sealer of weights and measurements. Household scales are not permitted.
Berkshire Botanical Garden does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, material status, sexual orientation, or military status, in ay of its activities or operations.
