Fall Foliage Eco-Printing

When:
Saturday, September 28, 2024
Where:

Berkshire Botanical Garden

Capture a moment in time with Maggie Pate in this introduction to eco-printing on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Students will leave with a luscious 100 percent silk charmeuse scarf that they will design and eco-print during the class using local fall foliage.

Maggie Pate began her career in international fashion modeling and then retired to work for a label in New York City. She is the designer and purveyor of Nåde Studio. Her work in textiles is a cross-section that explores the synthesis of textures, repetition, and geometry. It forms a poetic visual language that ignites the potential of figurative rhythm — a visual synesthesia where shapes, colors and mood transform into a kaleidoscopic canvas. In the last few years, her focus has shifted to cultivating a 100 percent sustainable and eco-friendly studio by capturing color with predominantly food waste collected from local restaurants and farms.

Class fee includes $32 supplies.
