Painting a Winter Arrangment
Berkshire Botanical Garden
Join Casey Krawczyk for an exciting floral course from Wednesday through Friday, March 27, 28 and 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn to paint a charming floral arrangement in an “alla prima” approach through observation of the subtle nuances of color, temperature and form. Casey will guide students each step of the way through demonstration and individual instruction, helping them develop a better understanding of design, color mixing/observation, form modeling, and applying finishing touches. Though we will be painting flowers as our subject, what you learn in this course can be applied to any other subject matter.
Casey Krawczyk earned her B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and her M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Art, Graduate School of Figurative Art. She taught academic drawing and painting for eight years at Western State Colorado University before moving to the Northeast to pursue a career as a professional artist. Casey's work can be viewed locally at Peter Jung Gallery in Hudson, NY, as well as Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, SC and Keating Fine Art in Balsat, CO. Casey also welcomes visitors to her studio in Austerlitz, NY.
