We Did It! A Letter from Executive Director Mike Beck

Dear Friends,

We want to express our deepest gratitude for the generous support of Berkshire Botanical Garden’s solar panel project. Thanks to the collective contributions from our community, we are proud to announce that we have met our fundraising goal! With all of your help, we are moving forward with the installation of a state-of-the-art solar panel system on the roof of our Education Building, a significant step toward our sustainable future.

These donations have played a crucial role in helping us reduce our carbon footprint and power our Garden in an environmentally responsible way. With this support, we will offset more than 67 percent of our electricity usage through clean, renewable energy — an inspiring message we will proudly share with our 30,000 annual visitors. The solar panel system will serve as a valuable educational tool for those visitors and participants in our programs, encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices in their own lives.

Your collective generosity is making a meaningful difference in our ability to continue offering high-quality educational programs, environmental initiatives and a beautiful space for the community to gather and learn.

On behalf of everyone at Berkshire Botanical Garden, thank you for being an integral part of this exciting and transformative project. We look forward to seeing you in the Garden soon — perhaps at our first annual Spring Fest!

Gratefully,

Michael Beck, Executive Director

Berkshire Botanical Garden
