Fall Forest Bathing

When:
Saturday, September 21, 2024
Where:

Berkshire Botanical Garden

Forest bathing, or Shinrin Yoku, is centered around opening oneself to the healing power of the natural world. Studies have shown that forest bathing helps lower stress and anxiety, strengthen immune function, improve cardiovascular and metabolic health, and boost overall well-being. This two-hour guided session, led by Zach Rissman on Sat., Sept. 21, from noon to 2 p.m., allows participants to slow down and experience deep rest, relaxation, presence, and healing. Come join us to connect more deeply with yourself, other like-minded people and the natural world.

Zach Rissman is a certified forest bathing guide, trained through the Wildcraft Forest School. He also holds certifications in outings leadership, wilderness first aid, mental health first aid, heart-based meditation teaching, and spiritual mentorship. Zach guides with love, compassion, confidence, grace, and playfulness. His intention is to create a safe space for participants to connect more deeply with the world around them and awaken to the beauty and healing power of the natural world. He brings objective knowledge as well as spiritual presence and works to help all feel welcomed and supported.
