In this four-part class, we will revisit trees through the seasons, and witness their unique characteristics with and without leaves. We will learn how to identify species of trees with and without leaves, ID a tree by its bark, and understand which trees flower in which seasons.

Come join in the journey of the magic of trees, starting with how to identify them in the landscape and forest settings. This four-part, four-season class was created in response to popular demand!

Melissa LeVangie Ingersoll, Certified Arborist (MCA, ISA, NH), is a passionate educator about trees, tree care and tree climbing amongst other extensive topics.She holds many professional certifications, including an ISA Certified Arborist, Tree Risk Assessment Qualification professional credentials. She is a past-president of Massachusetts Tree Wardens & Foresters Association and of the New England Chapter of ISA. 

Tom Ingersoll is a Massachusetts Certified Arborist, an ISA Certified Arborist, a Connecticut Licensed Supervising Arborist and a NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professional. Owner of Ingersoll Land Care located in Sheffield, Mass., Tom has worked in the landscape industry for over 30 years sharing his passion for tree care. ILC serves both public and private clients in the tri-state region. Additionally, he serves on the boards of the BerkshireBotanical Garden and The Sheffield Tree Project.
